Azure Data sync Notifications

Hi,

I have configured azure data sync with one of On-Premises server. couple of times the sync failed. So is there anyway to set up

notifications for this i.e if the sync fails it would send notifications to the owner.

Hi rpat,

Based on my research, currently, there is no way to configure notifications/alerts in case of sync failures. The windows azure portal is the only way to monitor the status.

Thanks for posting here.

If you are just wanting to monitor changes to a specific set of data, you could log the changes using triggers in SQL Azure. Or you could try this approach using the Sync Framework. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/how-to-enable-sql-azure-change-data-capture.aspx

I guess, this particular article is bit outdated but you may get some information from this.

According this other (similar) thread, no - Not at the moment as the sync related queries are still under preview. The only way, for now, is to monitor its status through the portal.
