CA Certlog is filling up hard drive?
I have a Windows 2008 CA Online Issue server with a 30 gig hard drive. The drive keeps filling up with log files from the C:\windows\system32\certlog folder. I recently had 17gig. I basically have 2 questions.1. Can I set a log file limit so the hard drive does not fill up? If so, how do I go about doint this?2. Can that folder be moved to a different drive with more space? How would i go about doing this? Thanks

I was able to extend the volume, so I guess the next question is can I set a limit on those log files so it will not fill up again. I now have 60 gig available.

I ran cerutil -dcinfo deleteBad and i still get a 1mb log file created every 2-3 minutes in the certlog folder. I have to clear out about 2.5 GB every week of log files.
Can't figure out why these get filled up all time.
Thanks,

I know it's been a while since this thread had another post, but see
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305018.
It talks about changing the verbosity level for logging. This isn't the same as the *.log files in that folder (which are to do with the *.edb database) but maybe if you set it to verbose logging you may see something in the Windows event log?
Use certutil -getreg ca\loglevel to get the current logging level.Ian Yates Technical Manager Medical IT Pty Ltd PO Box 501, Carina QLD 4152 Australia Web: www.medicalit.com.au
