Cannot Stop Mrxsmb Warnings
I know this question has been asked before. Though I am stuck on what to do next.
The problem I am having is that on every machine in the network including the server I am getting the error MrxSmb The redirector failed to determine the connection type.. (full error posted below). This happens when accessing any unc paths. I have tried almost everything that I have found and nothing seems to be stopping the warnings appearing.
I also spotted in the Microsoft windows network neighborhood I am only seeing 3 out of the 10 computers on the domain. This is happening with every computer.
So I am looking for any one to suggest anything related that it could possibly be???

Thank You for your reply!!! There is no problem accessing any UNC Share over the network though i do sometime spot a slight lag even when accessing a UNC share that is on the server... How would i go about update mrxsmb.sys binaries

hi there, Lag is a different issue which might be related to network , switch , and the redirector from which a request is being processed , for eg: server service and workstation service are 2 major components involved in SMB communication ( SMB stands for server message block which is responsible for file sharing in windows ) the legacy is known as CIFS . i would recommend you to perform a complete system update either using WSUS / microsoft update server. and clear the logs and check if you still have the problem.i would also recommend you to update your NIc drivers.sainath
