Cannot configure Exchange Connector

Hi,

Here's the problem.

SCSM 2012 R2

SCSM Exchange connector 3.0

I copied all dll files as instructed.

I ran New-managementRoleAssignment on Exchange Server.

I created mailbox for scsmworkflow account.

I tested that scsmworkflow can access its mailbox via webmail.

I imported Exchange mpb into SCSM

Now I want to start using Exchange connector.

I am stuck in the Create Exchange Connector wizard in "Test connection"

The "Test connection" fails with:

"The connection to the server was unsuccessful. Please check the server name and/or credentials entered.

Additional Information: The source was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched. Inaccessible logs: Security."

Of course, server name and credentials are correct.

I also tried to open web site that is listed in example:

https://my_exchange_server/EWS/Exchange.asmx

It opens an XML document in browser and the certificate is trusted because both Exchange and SCSM server are in the same domain.

What is suspicious is that the test seems to fail instanty. I don't get impression that it tried to connect to Exchange.

Please help. Thanks,

Les

verify that the firewall is off

I have also ran into a glitch in the past where I needed to configure the exchange connector from the management server itself, instead of a secondary server.

Try to use Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.dll Version (14.3.32.0).
