Certificate Problem
We are trying to set up Certificates for our VPN Users and have noticed that when we browse to http:\\<testserver>\certsrv and submit an advanced certificate request, Client Authentication Certificate is the default option and so we can request a certificate. When we browse to http:\\<productionserver>\certsrv we don't have this option - only Basic EFS or User which means we cannot request a certificate. We have checked the settings and can't see any reason why the two are different - can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi, It seems the testserver is a standalone CA while the productionserver is an Enterprise CA. If you need to request Client Authentication certificate from Enterprise CA, please use MMC: 1. Open MMC, click File, click Add Snap-in, choose Certificate, choose Local Computer. 2. Right-click Personal, choose All Task, choose Request New Certificate, choose a certificate to request. Please note, Client Authentication certificates are all Computer certificates, you cannot request them using user account. Thanks.
