I get this verification failure, but the Role Uninstall option is grayed, can not remove, how to fix This, Thanks

"Domain Controller promotion failed. Certificate Server is installed.

Never mind, 2012 have to options ADD and REMOVE Roles, not ADD/REMOVE :)

To be clear on the answer to this, the Certificate Server role must be removed from the server.  Go to "Server Manager", "Manage", "Remove Roles and Features", remove the check mark in "Active Directory Certificate Services", and walk through the removal.  Then retry the prerequisites check for promotion to 2012 domain server.
