Check Trial Periods Left
Hi , I have installed the Windows 2003 r2 180 days trial software long back. I would like to know the exact trial days left for the OS to expire . Can any one guide where to check this as it does not show anywhere explicitly. I have typed Winver in command prompt it says 3/5/2010 but when i loggin it pops up saying the evaluation will end by 11 days . Not understood what's going on :(

Hi,
He mentioned had tried to type winver in run box.
Arun, how long did you install the Windows Server 2003 trail version? I didn’t have experience on Windows Server 2003 trial version, but I may download one for test.

Hi Vincent, Thanks for your reply, I have tried Winver which said Jan 2010 is the expiry. But the popup comes out saying 11 days more. I have just seen an KB article from microsoft(lost the link) which said any changes in the bios would also cause such issues. As i have installed the Trial in the Home PC(which is of different configurations including bios) and copied the VHD and run it over the office system. This might be an issue (i think) Now i have installed in my office system and checking the same. But the worst thing is that i have to configure the full lab again :( S.Arun Prasath

Hi,
As i have installed the Trial in the Home PC(which is of different configurations including bios) and copied the VHD and run it over the office system.
>> I suspect this is the cause of the issue. Generally speaking, if you installed a trail version of Windows, you should be able to have all the days that you are been told(like 180 days).
