Hello, sounds like DNS, please post an unedited ipconfig /all from the DC/DNS server and the client with the problem. Do you use Forwarders to your ISP on the DNS server properties? Hi Meinolf Weber, Thanks for your Reply. Sorry, to inform you that this question was asked to me in an interview, so i don't have unedited ipconfig /all. Please guide me what answer i must give if i had been asked the same in the future. Waiting for your opinion. Thank you. Thanks & Regards, Param - MCSE, CCNA ( http://paramgupta.blogspot.com )

Hello, If the site has been published by TMG or ISA,it allows you to access only through the site's name, because it will redirect the flow to the internal site, so you can't browse the site using Ip adress because the public Ip is assigned to TMG and not for the web site which use a internal address IP, may be that's the reason of your question. Best Regards Hi Bourbita Thameur, Good to see your reply, Thanks. I am unable to understand. Please elaborate more on this - "because it will redirect the flow to the internal site" Thanks & Regards, Param - MCSE, CCNA ( http://paramgupta.blogspot.com )

Hello, there may be misconfigured DNS settings on that particular machine, so it resolve only with ip instead of the name.Best regards Meinolf Weber MVP, MCP, MCTS Microsoft MVP - Directory Services My Blog: http://msmvps.com/blogs/mweber/ Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Dear All, I am successfully able to browse xyz.com website on one of my Client, but I am unable to browse the same xyz.com website on other client, although i can browse the same website with ip address. I had run ipconfig /flushdns on client and dnscmd /clearcache on the server. I have check and verified the dns server ip address. What are the possible reason and solution for this behaviour? Thanks & Regards, Param - MCSE, CCNA ( http://paramgupta.blogspot.com )

Hi Param, Thank you for your post. Please post the "nslookup xyz.com" result from your client and one problem client. If the DNS server address output are same, please check the client local hosts file. If the DNS server address output are different, please check the DNS cache/settings on the DNS server.
