Disabling Listing of C drive
Hi Experts,
I want to disable Listing of C drive on all Terminal Servers. I'm trying to to use Group Policy (File System) to achieve this but When I use this feature and applying on Machines then I'm getting Recycle Bin corruption message.
What will be impact If I disable Listing of C drive for all domain users? Im using "This folder Only" while doing this?Regards Suman B. Singh

Hi Suman,
Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums.
We can try using the method in the article below to hide drive C as a test:
Using Group Policy Objects to hide specified drives

Hi Suman,
Please understand that we use group policy to restrict user(s) from accessing specific hard drives. However, most applications need to access system drive to work properly (The Registry information for the applications can be saved in system drive). That's
why we cannot restrict applications from accessing the system drive. It is by-design.

Thanks Kevin,
But we don't want to expose content of drives using file:///c:/ protocol. Can we disable this?Regards Suman B. Singh

Hi Suman,
In this situation, we might need to contact Firefox support to see if experts who familiar with the Firefox product can provide more effective suggestion.
Your understanding is appreciated.

Thanks Kevin.
I will try to contact FF support as this seems a very well known problem with all non-microsoft Browsers. I was wondering if you can let me know the major impact If I stop De-Listing of C drive for Domain users. We are using Lots of GPs and Logon scripts
for these users.Regards Suman B. Singh
