Eventcreate command query
I am using the command eventcreate command to a custom event in a specified event log. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb490899.aspx The command I am using is this one. I am running this command on my local machine to create a LOG on a few servers that I manage. eventcreate /S 1.2.3.4 /U Administrator /P password /T INFORMATION /L APPLICATION /SO TAMESSO /ID 222 /D TAMeSSO_Testing For most of servers, it is OK. But for some server, maybe due to the network problem or whatever reason, it is failed to create a LOG. An error message that I receive is this "ERROR: The network path was not found" My question is that. Is there any configuration such as which ports needed to be opened on the remote servers so that the command can be run successfully on my local machine. Besides the ports, is there any other configuration on the remote server that I need to take into consideration. Please provide other configuration (if any) so that I can run the command successfully in my local machine. Is there any limitation for eventcreate i.e. under any case, the command not be able to execute as it should be. AKS "MCP,MCSA,MCSE,MCPIT,CCNA"

Thanks for an appropriate direction on the issue. We found packet reset in the netmon traces. Investigating network problem on the same. Thanks A_K_SAKS "MCP,MCSA,MCSE,MCPIT,CCNA"
