External access problems
Hi! I recently installed a Windows Server 2008 R2 standard edition, and installed remote desktop and IIS services (mainly because the problem existed before). The main problem is that only this two programs can be accessed from external networks, for example if i install apache (and remove IIS) it works only on localhost through remote desktop. but through IP it doesn't. (i can't test for sure for a lots of other aplication like game servers but they respond as all right but no external connections can be made). I already turned the windows firewall off, and opened necessary ports, allowed the programs through the firewall but still nothing. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you in advance Lszl Br

Hi, I assume that you have opened port 80,443,3389 on the firewall. So we can access the server through Http and RDP from external. I do not know which port you have opened for the game server. But seems the traffic blocked the firewall. Best Regards, AidenAiden Cao TechNet Community Support
