Friends, I have a task to make the hardware inventory in all my office and according this i am seeking the solution which will best suit my requirement. I prefer to have a solution from Microsoft and it would be great if this solution will be also based on cloud. As Mukesh already indicated, SCCM is the most relevant MS product which can be used for h/w inventory with additional features available. However, I would like to emphasize on few things o IT hardware and office equipments inventory. - Not all h/w equipment's can be inventoried using SCCM, if you have all your pc's and Servers running Windows, SCCM is the optimal solution. Using some third party commercial connectors Linux and Unix machines can also be inventoried using SCCM. For network equipment's like Switches, Routers, Printers, Projectors you need to look for some SNMP based solutions. o Cloud Solution and easy to manage. - SCCM servers can be setup on cloud infrastructure ( Hyper-V or VMware vSphere ), as far as my knowledge goes you need a dedicated team for managing SCCM infra if you have large network. o Integration with Navision - Not very sure about this, might be possible. o Multi language - Multi language is supported in SCCM.
