How to register a .tlb file in windows 7 64bits?
hi all, I tried with regtlib but failed.... regtlibv12.exe told me successfull but server still not work... thanks in advance

Hello, regtlibv12.exe is part of Visual Studio 2010 can be located in the Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30139 folder (not the v2.0.50727 folder). Using that executable you should able to successfully register the legacy typelib (.tlb). You can also post your query on .Net Forum Thanks

hello MYousufAli that's what i've done and i received a successfull message but there is no key entries in my registry and can't connect to the server.... Or in a Windows XP 32 bits, it works great!

You can try with Regasm.exe It can generate and register a type library describing the types found in the assembly when you specify the /tlb option. For more info in regasm.exe see this article. Thanks

hi, yes i've ever seen this command but problem is i don't have any .dll file....
