Hi, I just installed W8K RTM on Intel S5000VSA motherboard. The good news is all the drivers except one were automatically installed. The one that is missing is "Base System Device" driver. I checked on Intel driver download site. They don't have anything specific to W8K. I am hoping someone on this forum might know where to get the driver from. Thank you in advance for your help. Hello I suspect that the manufacturer of the motherboard has not yet provided or published their updated motherboard drivers for Windows Server 2008. Therefore, I would like to suggest that you contact the manufacturer to confirm whether the drivers are available. (If not, when will these be available.) As far as I can tell, there is no information on Intel's site about the availability of Windows Server 2008 drivers for any of their Motherboards. Microsoft has apparently also decided not to release a HCL for Windows Server 2008. It will serve them both right if people decide to avoid the compatibility issue by running VMWare first and then installing operating software as virual machines.
