Logging in automatically with a different account -  Windows 2003 R2 Standard
When logging into this server, at the credential prompt, we put in our information and it authenticates but it polls a different user's profile. Its WEIRD! The only way to log in with our individual profiles instead of this one is to disable the user account. Should I try and delete the user profile first? It is not a local account it is a domain account. How can we stop the server from logging us into the machine with this one user. There are not .bat files or anything associated with it.

Hi, It seems Auto logon was turned on in your server. Please check the Registry key described in the article below and remove them if necessary. How to turn on automatic logon in Windows http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324737 Also, please check if TweakUI was installed on your system. If we still cannot solve this issue, , please help to collect the following information for research. A. Download MPS Reporting Tool (MPSRPT_PFE.EXE) from the following link: (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=00ad0eac-720f-4441-9ef6-ea9f657b5c2f&DisplayLang=en) Please note: The link may be truncated when you read the E-mail. Be sure to include all text between '(' and ')' when navigating to the download location. B . Right click MPSRPT_PFE.EXE and select Run as Administrator to run this tool, and you will see a Command Window start up. C . Please type Y with the message of <Include the MSINFO32 report? (defaults to Y in 15 seconds)[Y,N]? D . When the tool is done you will see an Explorer Window opening up the %systemroot%\MPSReports\Setup\Reports\cab folder and containing a <Computername>MPSReports.cab file. After collecting, please use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the file and then give me the download address. Thanks. Hi, Thank you for update. From the log, we can find current user is att\adminadam, which user would like to log on? Could you delete the att\adminadam account? If you can, could you log on without problem? If the issue persists after deleting att\adminadam, lets try the following tool. Autologon for Windows v2.10 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963905.aspx Run Autologon, click Disable. Restart the server and test. Thanks. That's not the user that is trying to log - in automatically. At the log-on prompt, a the fields are automatically populated with another user's account and password. I already checked on the auto-login areas. They were never configured. I think I may just have to rebuild the machine when we get some new hardware in.
