Merging Two Domains
Looking for a guide of best practices for the following scenario:
1 Company with 2 locations running two different domains and two different exchange environments.
Location A is already setup how we want it
2008 AD domain called locationa.inc
2007 SP1 exchange server that does mail for externally owned domain locationa.com
Location B needs to be merged into Location A's existing domain and exchange environment. In the end we will have one exchange server and location B's will be turned off.
2003 AD domain called locationb.inc
2003 exchange server that does mail for externally owned domain locationb.com
We want to have location B start using the naming scheme for computers/equipment/usernames/email addresses.
The idea is to still have email come in on location B email addresses for a short time during transition and then shut off those old email addresses.
Email is really the big concern for location B. What is the best way to transition to their email/change email addresses while still receiving mail on the old dresses during transition?
Thanks,

For exchange specific questions, I would ask in the Exchange Migration

To merge the domain objects into domain A, you'll probably want to merge using Microsoft ADMT tool. This tool (in combination with Exchange tools) will allow you to merge the Exchange mailboxes as well.
Since you want both email domains up and you may have other specific mail related questions, check on the forum link provided.
