We are using Windows Server 2008 + SP2 Enterprise Edition 32-Bit. Hardware Dell R710 Server. We get the Group Policy failed error at regular intervals. The Domain Controller is also Windows Server 2008 + SP2 Standard Edition 64-Bit. Also ADC too is there, loaded on a VMWare Server. The Forest level is set to Windows Server 2008 itself while loading, we does not have any Windows Server 2003 DC's in the LAN.Error Details:Log Name: SystemSource: NETLOGONDate: 1/20/2010 2:55:42 PMEvent ID: 5719Task Category: NoneLevel: ErrorKeywords: ClassicUser: N/AComputer: STSERVER.QSIDOMAIN.netDescription:This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain controller in domain QSIDOMAIN due to the following: The remote procedure call failed and did not execute. Hi CrVenkatesh, Thank you for posting here. According to your description, I understand that your Domain Controller received a NETLOGON error 5719. This issue might be caused by a network connectivity issue. To troubleshoot 5719 Errors, please also check the following KB: Follow KB 244474 How to force Kerberos to use TCP instead of UDP in Windows http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;244474 Reboot the server, Check the event log again. Hi Wilson, Thanks for the information. The Error shows up on my data/file Server, it is not a Domain Controller. Trying the Option 1. How to force Kerberos to use TCP instead of UDP in Windows = Selecting the Decimal option and click OK. Reopening it the option selected is Hexadecimal. Unable to set it up to Decimal. Option 3. Disable the Spanning Tree Algorithm feature of your Ethernet switch = What is the Data Type (REG_DWORD or REG_SZ) we should opt? Also we get this error on another Test Server, loaded with Windows Server 2008 64-Bit Standard Edition. So can we follow the above post too for the 64-Bit OS. Should we select REG_QWORD instead of REG_DWORD? Regards, Venkatesh.

In addition, please also check whether the following KB helps. Error message in a Windows Server 2003-based domain or in a Windows 2000 Server-based domain: "The remote procedure call failed and did not run" http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;911799 Regards, Wilson Jia
