Online lab for practicing new technologies
General question people, I am living in a pigeon hole for now & dont have room to put in server rack. I am looking for an online solution like an online 24X7 server on which I can install my evaluation copies of Windows 2012 & Windows 8 & create fully functional labs. Do we have such services available? What are the constraints? Azure is good but the charges are phenomenal & I only want a server for practice with good amount of storage & RAM so that I can virtualize machines. Thanks in advance. Oh yes, happy new year to all.

Hi Santosh, thanks, I have seen the site before but its not something that I can customize. The Hyper V machines are preconfigured & meant for specific tasks.

Hi, I understand your concerns however, I don't think there exists a free service which lets you to customize and run lab setup. If you have a desktop or laptop with good amount of RAM and disk, you may try installing Hyper-V on that and setup a lab for your practices and Yes, the processor on the machine should be virtualization ready. You might even spin up some WS 2012 and Win 8 VMs on Virtual Box or VMware Workstation and run your tests.
