PPTP VPN Sudden Error 691
Suddenly I have clients getting an error connecting to our PPTP VPN - error 691. Windows Server 2003. If I try to connect on the local network - no error. If their off site - error 691. Disabled security software and tried new user account - also verify
user name and domain are correct - no success. Also verified PPTP port on SonicWall router is forwarded to correct IP - no luck. Please help.

Hi Matthew,
Error 691: Access denied because username and/or password is invalid on the domain.
Make sure the Include Windows logon domain check box is unchecked in the Options tab of the dial-up connection's Properties dialog box.

Hi Matthew,

You can also use PortQry
port scanner utility to troubleshoot.
