Hi,
You can find the following requirements for the hotfix in the KB’s page.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970067/en-us
Prerequisites
To apply this hotfix, your computer must run be running one of the following operating systems:
Windows Server 2008
Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
Additionally, your computer must have the Terminal Service role and the Windows System Resource Manager feature installed.
By the way, the Windows Vista on the download page doesn’t mean it’s hotfix for Windows Vista.
Best Regards,
Vincent Hu

those patches are for Windows 2008, not Windows 2008 R2.
thats why you get the message "not applicable".
do you actually see high cpu usage or did you mean to apply it out of precaution?
for R2 there is a hotfix for memory leaks (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981314/en-us), but its included in sp1 which you have running already according to your post

Hi,
WmiPrvSE.exe is taking up 30-40% cpu capacity / 5,8Mb on memory. no precaution, no memory leak.
Is there going to be a patch for R2?

Michel
Am also seeing high cpu usage from this exe, on 2008 R2, running RDS role and XenApp.
Did you find any resolution to this?
Thanks
Clive
