Print Server issue
1. What printer are you using and what drivers? What is the role of server, is it print server or there are other functions like remote services? 2. What do you see in event logs?

Enable events in the PrintService Operational log, you can at least track down how the printers are getting paused. Do you see Offline from the client machine or is the PORT monitor marking the printers offline on the server?Alan Morris Windows Printing Team

There is no setting in spooler that will pause a printer automatically. There are scripts and API level applications that can perform this action. The user information is listed in the 303 event. Alan Morris Windows Printing Team
