Problem with zombie process and system account
Hi there. I encouter a strange problem on W2K3. I'm trying to run a service as LocalSystem. this service runs many scripts which launch bash and DOS processes (like net, dir, ls, tail, grep, ...). On W2K, there's no problem with my standard installation (run as LocalSystem, and allowed to interact with desktop). But on W2K3, with the same parameters, sometimes (not always, but especially if I stress the service) there's a timeout in some commands, and zombie process appears (those dir, ls, net, ...) The very strange thing is that if I run this service under a local administrator account, I don't have this problem.... Is there some kind of limitation or security that comes with the LocalSystem account with W2K3 ?
