Remote Desktop Connection
I want to know how connect to my work computer from home with windows remote desktop connection.
My work computer has an internal IP address and the public IP is common for several work computers (public IP with some gateway I think). At home, I have a static IP from an ISP.
I’m able to connect to my work computer from another work computer having same public IP by specifying my internal IP in the windows remote desktop connection.
I am able to connect to my work computer using a desktop sharing software which works like msn messenger.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Thiyagaraj
,
Tanks for posting here.
Can your work computer access internet ?
How your office sharing internet access? via NAT?
Seems you have live account , then I would like suggest you to using
live mesh , a utility of Microsoft, which can sync files and remote connection across internet.
For more information about Live Mesh please check the link below:

My work computer has internet access via NAT. Remote assistance works for me but it needs approval at the host end to connect.
I'll try live-sync.
Thanks.

Hi Thiyagaraj,
Thanks for your update.
If you connect to internet via NAT at office, then have to set port forward on your NAT , to mapping port 3389 of internal address of your office computer to internet address , so that you can connect to your office computer with perform "
mstsc /v <company internet address> "at home.
Of coures , live sync(former name live mesh) is more convenient.
Hope that's helpful
Thanks.
