Request Offering layout modifications

Dear fellows

I am a sharepoint developer that is new in SCSM, so I understand developer concepts, but almost nothing about the SCSM.

My question is:
There is a way to modify questions disposal on the request offering forms?

I want to put two or three fields in one row in order to add more fields to the layout and make it more pleasant than the long fields.

Perhaps something more like the new incident form:

Thanks in advance, any help is welcome.

You would have to change the Silverlight webpart that present request offerings. I doubt you can get the sourcecode, so you would have to write it from scratch. These may get you started:

There are third part portals available that are much prettier to look at and much more customizable.

Hi,

unfortunately you can't modify the disposal ... it's a Sylverlight webpart.

Check this to see what's you can do : https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh770170.aspx

Dear Anders,

Thank you very much for your answer, these two articles are very interesting, I will try to make some proofs and then I will post the result.
Regarding the third part tools, are prettier, but we cannot afford that cost. :(

Thanks for the suggestions.
Regards.

Dear Remy,

Unfortunately, the answer "is not possible" is not a valid one for me.
Because I know that while programming, anything is possible. :)

Thanks for the article, it is very nice to know what is possible to do with the normal functionalities of SCSM.
Regards.

Agreeable and I think based on the links shared, even the existing Silver Light Control can be amended to customize only few portions like the view of Service Requests.

   Will try sometime in future.

If there is any success with anyone, please do share.

but we cannot afford that cost. :(

I can't believe that cost of your in-house developers who spend time (=money, salary + support) to write just one custom component is less than ready-to-use product.

A new portal from a 3rd part is less than 10.000$ including support, updates, etc. I doubt you can do it cheaper in the long run. Unless you are sitting on some very proficient and experienced silverlight developers? :D

Hi Anders, can you tell us which portal are you referring with the 10 USD cost ?

Is that also customizable for our such requirements ?

That would be further good to start with instead of writing from scratch.

none at 10 USD there. Syliance, Cireson both not at that low.

it's less than $10000 even for 3000 users (without SA), if you have less than 3000 it will be MUCH less... did you have more?

Hi Anders,

At this moment, we are considering to contract a third part portal...
Can you tell me which are the best portals with the better functionalities?

Or any one, with your experience, which is the best third part portal for SCSM.

Thanks in advance.

I suggest you reach out and get one of the many resellers to do a show and tell of the various 3rd party portals, and then decide for what you think is the best for you.
