SCVMM 2012R2 Eval expired

Hello

I have a copy of SCVMM 2012R2 where the evaluation license has expired.   I have read that we need to remove in Add/Remove Programs and tell it to retain the database and then re-install using the correct license key.  Is this the case ?  Do I tell the uninstaller to remove the console and management server or leave?  Anyone have step by step on this ?  Thanks - Don

You didn't need to uninstall or reinstall, Only you need to upgrade from VMM Eval to full version

If you are no longer able to open the GUI or the cmdlets related to SCVMM, then you should uninstall SCVMM (both console and management server), choose retain database and re-run the setup to install with the correct key afterwards.

all the settings will be kept in the database during the process.
