SQL SERVER 2012 Licencing
Hi We have recently bought a 4 Processor-40 core 128GB Ram Server running 2008 R2 and are currently planning to purchase SQL SERVER 2012 Standard + CALS. We have been told that it will run on the Server but may only use only 20 of the Cores. The questions I'm are: 1. Is it legal to license in this way? 2. Will SQL SERVER 2012 install on 40 core processor with 128GB of RAM?
