There is no server 2003 forum so I guess by default I post this here (before I contact MS support). I have backup tape that was run with Veritas 10. The tape had a password. After reading further, I found that apparently the on tape catalog is passworded while the .bkf files are not. I ran a catalog in ntbackup and the tape quite happily cataloged. When I try restore to an alternative location (the original location is now gone), the file restores approx 1/3 of its size. Sometimes ntbackup says its complete, but normally it does nothing except say restoring. Since the tape catalogs, I knowthe tape isreadable. Why does it only restore 1/3? How do I get my complete restore?
