Thanks for the reply, i am familiar with the life cycle charts, but i dont understand what is available in extended support. Critical updates are .... critical as they patch vulnerabilities in the software. If critical updates arnt available i would consider the changing of OS essential.

i contacted Microsoft direct, and they assure me critical updates will be available for SErver 2003 until 2014 Thanks for everyones help anyway
