Server can't access Local Machines
Hi.Newbie. Setting up test domain with Windows Server 2003 and XP Professional locally. Strangely, I can access the server from an XP Professional machine, but I cannot access the XP Professional machine from the server. However, when I am logged on at the local XP Professional machine as an administrator I can access the server. When I am logged on as a user without administrative privlidges I cannot access the server. What gives?I would think that my regular user has not given access for the administrator to access it, but I went and made sure I added the administrator from the domain for access to the C Drive and still no luck?Thanks,vze2mss6joesf16

Hi,Please make sure that you have granted your administor and your users the "Access this Computer from the Network" rights from the group policy (or the machines' local policies, if you do not have GPO implemented in your domain).http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc740196.aspxRegards,Salvador Manaois III MCSE MCSA CEH MCITP | Enterprise/Server Admin Bytes & Badz : http://badzmanaois.blogspot.com/
