Services
Greetings all. I had some problems on my Exchange server that I "took Over" as IT. I used a utility to reset the "local" admin user password to "blank" so I could log in the cmd line to do a chkdsk. The problem is I had services that depended on that login. Now I don't know how to add a password back. Also once I add it back how can I find out the services that depended on that user? Thanks a million. Matt

Is this a domain controller? you mention exchange, is that related? how? You can open services.msc and sort on the column that shows the "log on as" field. Anything as builtin\administrator or serverabc\administrator would meet this criteria, but again,is this a domain controller? Because if so, no services would be utilizing the disabled, hidden builtin administrator account.
