StandAlone Root CA participating in AD
I'm installing a Standalone Root CA. The computer participates in AD and my ID used to perform the install has EA rights. I noticed that the RootCA certificate is automatically published to AD. I thought a Standalone install of ADCS did
not utilize Active Directory? Why is the RootCA being published into AD when I chose "Standalone"?
Thanks,
Paul

Standalone CA publish it's certificate only to Certification Authorities (if it is Root CA) and to AIA containers. It is just a certificate distribution to the clients question. Standalone CA isn't installed as an enrollment service. My weblog: http://en-us.sysadmins.lv
