Testing User Account Credentials
Hey guys, sorry I couldn't think of a more appropriate place for this thread.
I have been asked to go through our password list and test the local accounts' credentials for all of our servers. We have a good deal of servers, so this may take a while. Does anyone know of a more efficient way to test this than trying to remote into
each server and testing these credentials (e.g. Windows error will say 'user does not have permission to remote' if the credentials succeed, or it will let you in if they succeed and they DO have permission to remote). Because that is what I am doing right
now.

Hello,
for what are the local accounts used? Maybe it's easier to disable them and wait until somebody calls you? That way you can also assure they are not used.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

Hello,
Do you mean that you want to check if an user account has the permission to remote connect to some servers?
By default there shall be a
Remote Desktop Users Group. So maybe you can check if an user account is in this group to determine whether this account has the permission to remote connect the server. Note that local administrators also have the permission.
Thanks
