The DSN that will not die!
I created a test DSN on Windows Server 2008 (x64) pointing to an x64 sql server (Administrative Tools > Data Sources (ODBC)). I deleted the DSN, logged out, then in again and noted that the DSN came back. (I verified this behaviour --
I deleted the DSN, logged out, then in again, and the DSN re-appeared). Any thoughts on killing that DSN permanently much appreciated.
TIA,
Barkingdog
P.S. Forgot to mention, the DSN can successfully connect to the data target.

Hello,
I strongly recommend you to write up in the SQL Server Data Access forum which more likely related to the ODBC connection stuff.

I will postit on the sqldataaccess group but the problem "appeared" to be more OS-related than database-related.
