Unable to set new file owner or move file
Hi I had some files I downloaded off the web which I'm unable to change the permissions on...the Current owner is set to "Unable to display current owner" and it doesn't let me set a new owner on them. Any idea what I can do to get around this?
I tried subinacl and I get an access denied when I run the command against the files under 'elevated admin command prompt', i'm logged in as the machine admin as well...nothing seems to clear these files out so I can move them off the current hard drive...

Did you try to take ownership of this file or folder? You can use
TAKEOWN command.
TAKEOWN /F filename /A
Here is the complete syntax
TAKEOWN [/S system [/U username [/P [password]]]]
/F filename [/A] [/R [/D prompt]]
