Use Sql LocalDb in worker role
I'd like to use a SQL LocalDb on a worker role for processing data that I simply can't push into a shared database, i.e. Sql Azure or Sql running on virtual machine. I am fully aware that the worker could go bye bye, but the data is entirely transient, so that is not a problem. I've created local storage for the database file, but when I try to connect to the database, I get the following...

50 - Local Database Runtime error occurred. Cannot create an automatic instance.

Has anyone got LocalDb running on a worker role? Thanks in advance.

"Since the issue is related to SQL Azure"

Are you serious? THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH SQL AZURE. If it had anything to do with SQL Azure I would have asked the question in the SQL Azure forum. Move it back.

Hi,

Sorry for the mistake. I see you have opened a new thread in that forum, so you can delete this one and we will look at that one to help you.
