VPN on Server 2008
Hey guys, sorry if this is in the wrong place, I'm new to this forum. I have just added the VPN roll to my Server 2008 installation. Upon testing the VPN connection, it seems able to connect, but fails every time it goes to verify the user name and password I provide. I have tried several different domain user accounts as well as the domain administrator and local administrator accounts and it fails every time. I have attempted to Diagnose the problem and each time it says the connection is fine. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? I need to have my customers connect to this server via VPN to access a shared resource. Is this the right way to go about this? Thanks for your time. Alex Ford

Hello, the General is ok, but the better one should be:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverPN/threadsAdditional describe more detailed, what additional roles the server has andwith exact error message. Is the VPN server also Domain controller? Then this is not the best solution, DCs should not be used for RRAS services and for that reason maybe multihomed.Best regards
