Hi, For the update error code 80244019, it means there is a problem contacting the server. Kindly make sure that the client is configured with the correct WSUS server. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservergen/thread/92b7ab4a-5086-4a2f-be52-37c2d9808bac/Regards, Rafic If you found this post helpful, please give it a "Helpful" vote. Hi, Fundamentally, the 0x80244019 error code is an HTTP 404 error and basically means that the file that the client was looking for is not present on the WSUS Server. Make sure all the approved updates are downloaded and ready for installation. Runwsusutil reset. If all clients are not getting updates, most likely instances are caused because the port number was wrong in the URL in the GPO.(Probably like:http://servername:8530 ?) If problem persists, post windowsupdates.log on your problematic clients here. TechNet

Tom, I have run the wsusutil reset, now what I have to do for verify the following? port number was wrong in the URL in the GPO.(Probably like:http://servername:8530 ?) Where I have to check it? in the gpo on wsus server? it should be correct since many clients are reporting 100% installed updates , some 99%, so seems it is working correctly with most pcs. The log of the client is to big to be posted entirely but you can see a part at the beginning of this post, it is possibile insert it as post attachment? thank youPC

Dear Customer, There probably is a policy to redirect clients to a WSUS server while the WSUS server does not exist. You need to DISABLE the policy"Specify intranet Microsoft update service location" so the client will connect to Microsoft to check for updates. Check this: Configure Automatic Updates by Using Group Policy http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc720539(v=WS.10).aspx If this policy is already disabled, or the machine is in a container without policy for WSUS, please reset the registry value UseWUServer = dword:0x0 , or delete the entire registry key HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate which will revert the WUAgent to the original installed behavior of Windows Updates. Let me know how this works out and the results of the suggested tasks listed above. I look forward to your reply. TechNet
