There's no fix for Windows 8 as this is the first time we've heard it reported from that OS.
Do you have the following two fixes applied to the Print Server?

Hi Yezdicruizer,

Hi Yzedi,

Hi Yezdicrusier,
I'm increasingly seeing the same issue with client PCs running Windows 8.
Have you tried to install the hotfix 2713128?
I realise it only states Windows 7 and Windows server 2008 R2, but would be interested to know if you've tried it and what the outcome was?
we noticed this issue recently. here is our observation,
1. windows 8 client (workgroup/other domain) shared printer will show it offline, but some time need to restrart the spooler service to fix, sometimes need to restart a few times. however connect directly to the printer IP as a local printer instead of shared from server, there is no such issue.
2. Windows 8 client (domain computer) looks like no such issue
3. Windows 8 clinet (Home group), will be the same as point 1
also we found, if the Mail app linked as windows login, the home group will got access denied.
hope this will help us to identify the issue.
