I'm making a formal request for the Microsoft Dynamic Cache Service for Windows 2008R2. I have two servers with the following specs: Dell Dual Xeon R510 Windows 2008 Server R2 Standard 32GB Ram 7 3TB SAS disks in Raid 6 resulting in 15TB of usable storage Each server has millions of files and serves tons of file sharing requests. Our memory is growing out of control. Task manager doesn't show anything unusual, but running RamMap shows almost all of the server memory going to MetaFile (24GB of the 32GB). I really need the dynamic cache service as I need to clear memory on these servers for other functions. I e-mail aurthur li asking for it as directed here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winservergen/thread/dac24bbe-2baa-4873-a20f-a21f7953da75 but have had no response. If I could get that e-mail to me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Jeff jkelling at fototime dot com

either call them (though i havent seen a reply in the past that the R2 version actually exists) or workaround yourself http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/6925.how-to-prevent-filecache-to-eat-up-all-the-ram.aspx
