Windows 2008 R2 and CAL
Dear Experts, I have a question, if I have 5 Windows 2008 R2 std. servers running in my organization. I have 5 users, and each user needs to access all 5 Windows Servers. Considering User CAL's I need to go for how many CALS, - 5 CALS for each user which means (25 CAL), so that each user is allowed to access all 5 machines OR - Just 5 CALS will be enough and each user will be able to licensed to access all 5 Windows 2008 R2 servers Waiting for your responses. Thanks, Wajeeh

If you have purchase 5 Windows 2008 R2 Standard Servers, this product pre-bundle with 5 CALs. As you mention you have 5 users. I think no need to buy extra CALs, unless user counts grow. I suggest contact Microsoft Licensing Center for detailed explanation. http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/contact-us.aspx For licensing questions, please call 1-800-426-9400 (select option 4), Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.
