Windows 2008 Server Standard R2 trial evaluation
I am downloading the trial evaluation of Windows 2008 r2 and doing some setup. If it good the way we set it up can we activate this version or do we have to do a complete re-install of a non-trial version? Thanks

The 10 day activation period can be reset five (5) times by using the rearm command. After this time, you will need to uninstall the evaluation software and reinstall a fully-licensed version of Windows Server 2008 R2. Thanks

Hi, If you download the trail version from the following link, you will be able to find the following description. After this time, you will need to uninstall the evaluation software and reinstall a fully-licensed version of Windows Server 2008 R2. http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=11093 Best Regards, Vincent Hu

Now it says further down the page this: This resets the activation period to 10 days, and can be used up to five times. After this you will need to either activate or reinstall the evaluation. So this does indicate that I can just activate after all my settings and testing’s without having to re-install a full version; with a proper activation product code? Please, is this you it reads to you? Thanks Tony
