Windows Activation: KMS Server on a Virtual Machine
Hi,The minimum threshold for installing a KMS server is 5 machines.I would like to know if these 5 machines can be VIRTUAL machines.thanks for your precious help !Eric

According to this Microsoft article it states you can: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd981009.aspx"If using virtual machines (VMs) in the lab environment, use KMS activation. This will transparently support activation throughout the hardware changes associated with moving or replicating VMs across physical systems."

Hello,If you are running Windows Server 2008 as your KMS host, your KMS host needs to be at SP2 to support virtual machine count.Windows Server 2008 R2 supports this out of the box if that is your KMS host.Thanks,
