Did you try to download and use the correct one for WS08 RC1 (x86 or x64 editions) at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=A7C2F438-90EE-4220-81D9-FC9965B2155D&displaylang=en?

Like I wrote - using x64 RC1 Windows 2008 Server (version 667) (in HP Proliant DL585 G2) and trying to install Windows6.0-KB934518-x64-Server.msu package. Also tried the x64 RC1 with Hyper-V(version 735) after that and once again no success.only the WMS for RC0 one worked correctly on WS08 RC0 x64. But the one for RC1 is now failing constantly.

Ok. figured it out - I used "Checked\Debug Build" of RC1. Windows Media Services for Windows 2008 RC1 does not work on it

Hi, I have a same problem like you and if is not a problem for you can you let me know what didm you do to install WMS on 2008 RC1, i have the following Win 2008 server edition6001.17051.071121-2029_amd64fre_Server_en-us-KR1SXFRE_EN_DVD.iso Datacenter, and files i'm trying to install is Windows6.0-KB934518-x64-Server.msu. What do you mean by Checked\Debug Build? I'm new in 2008. Thanks F
