hi there, you are correct microsoft earlier fixed the problem which was related to w3wp.exe consuming 100% memory, but the issue actually depends on the environement.AFAIK w3wp.exe belongs to IIS , being said that the issue might be related to you custom application hosted on IIS , or the issue itself might be with the w3wp.exe. So you need to run some useful tools to identify the root cause of the issue. During 100% cpu utilization i would recommend you to run Process explorer and check the process which is consuming 100% cpu utilization , the key factor would be going to the stack and identifying the cswitchdelta value for the corresponding thread. if you have any further questions feel free to reply back. sainath !analyze
