how do i reset the administrator password? the person that was in charge of my company IT changed administrator password prior to leaving employment. what is the easiest way to either "capture" the password or just entirely wipe it out and reset to something like admin? are there programs that can do this and if so what is the best one to do this job? all help is much appreciated thanks.

Hi, There are some password cracker tools. However, as a Microsoft engineer, I do not recommend using that. I suggest trying your best to contact that guy to obtain the password if possible. Otherwise, you might need to reinstall the system. Tim Quan
