Windows Server 2008 Install Issue - FrontPage Server Extensions
I have Win Server 2003 Std Edition and am trying to upgrade to 2008. The installer tells me I have FrontPage Server extensions installed. I cannot find that feature in the add/remove programs. Can anybody tell me how to get around this?

Hi, I had this problem once and used this: 1) Removed the frontpage ISAPI filter from all web sites and the top level "Web Sites" in IIS manager 2) Searched the registry for all entries containing "FrontPage" and "web server extensions" and deleted as many of the keys as possible 3) Used a delete on boot utility to remove the directory "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions" found it over here http://forums.techarena.in/server-deployment/918672.htm It's not the most clean way but it works. Thank you Tim. A thorough removal of the items within the registry did the trick. Charlie
