Windows Server 2008 Netowrking Issues
Hello,
before this weekend everything was fine...i made no changes to hardware or network infrasstructure. I approved IE 8 for install on our servers and workstations and now my windows 2008r2 server no longer is able to ping anything else on the network and most
devices oin the network are unable to ping the server 2008 box
when i click the troubleshoot network connections i get a message saying that the computer appears to be correctly configured but the device or resource (primary dns server) is not responding
Any idea what the issue could be...i already tried resetting the interface.

Hello,
go to IPv6 settings and make sure that no DNS servers are used.
Also, go to IPv4 settings and make sure that you are pointing to available internal DNS servers as DNS servers.
For ping requests, make sure that there no network equipement that is blocking ICMP traffic. If this does not help, disable all internal firewalls and security softwares and check again.
To check that all is okay with DNS resolution, use nslookup.
