Windows Server 2008 R2 Keeps Cutting Out?
Hi Guys, Here a bit of a strange one for you... My Windows Server 2008 R2 Server keeps on cutting out, (Turning off) with out going thourgh the Standard Shutdown, when I look in the Event Log it just says it's a power failure. But, this keeps happening two or three time a day normaly in the evening and first thing in the morning. Also when the Server reboots which it does automaticaly it will then get half the way though startup and do the same thing again. Does anyone have any idea's what could be doing this?? My Server Spec is: INTEL I5 661 3.33GHz 4GB RAM 250 GB HDD, 500GB HDD with a Gigerbyte Motherboard, Please help me this is not doing my Server any good. Cheers Thomas

If no BSOD's occur (Event ID: 1001 Source: Save Dump), then it may be a power problem. I would look at a possible faulty (or undersized) pc power supply, UPS, bad battery, or the circuit feeding the outlet that the pc is plugged into. Regards, Dave Patrick ....
