Windows Server 2008 administrative password lost
A Lenovo ThinkServer TS100 was bought in 2009. Windows Server 2008 was loaded on it by a person no longer available. I do not have the administrative password or the product key to setup this server. I have the software licensing # if that means anything. Can MS microsoft lookup the product key using this number? Can this vaild and legit software administrative password be reset without having to pay someone.

If this is a local admin password, look at Trinity Rescue Kit. It should allow you to reset the local admin password, if you have the ability to reboot this machines from a cd and load the rescue kit in it.http://trinityhome.org/Home/index.php?wpid=5&front_id=12-- Paul BergsonMVP - Directory ServicesMCTS, MCT, MCSE, MCSA, Security+, BS CSci2008, 2003, 2000 (Early Achiever), NT4Microsoft's Thrive IT Pro of the Month - June 2009 http://www.pbbergs.com Please no e-mails, any questions should be posted in the NewsGroup Thisposting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
