Windows Server 2008 differences
What is the difference between these two Windows Server 2008 versions found on MSDN/TechnetPlus: Windows Server 2008 Datacenter, Enterprise and Standard (x86) and Windows Server 2008 Datacenter, Enterprise and Standard without Hyper-V (x86) I thought that x86 versions always was without Hyper-V. - Duelund

On the MSDN downloads, they are providing the opportunity to download a version with Hyper-V, but the Hyper-V is a Beta release: http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/servermanager/virtualization.mspx

The first line item includes the mmc snap-ins for remotely managing Hyper-V. The second line item does not.

Does the "without Hyper-V" edition use less resources?I can assume that the with Hyper-V edition does have a hypervisor kernel built-in and the without Hyper-V edition does not.
